Mental health nursing is a specialized area of nursing practice, employing theories of human behavior as related to the purposeful use of self in the diagnosis and treatment of human responses to actual or potential mental health problems. This course is designed to allow the student to demonstrate the integration of mental health concepts into patient-centered care to promote emotional, mental, and social wellbeing.
