This course is designed to enable the participants review, analyze, and apply concepts, strategies, techniques, and approaches associated with tourism planning and development. It covers destination tourism planning, tourism community development, tourism and planning and management. Emphasis is put on integrated and sustainable tourism planning and development models at global, national, regional, and local community levels. The planning and development of tourist resources and programs within a geographic region. Planning models are reviewed and analyzed. The relationship among tourists, tourist developments, and the planning of tourist attractions and services is examined. A strategic planning process is applied to the development of a regional, national and international tourism plan and planning.
