This course unit enables the participants to gain insight into basics of tourism among others covering aspects of principles, policies; and the best practices that are applied in the sector. It builds the conceptual framework within which tourism operations are governed. Participants are imparted the knowledge of the current practices and technique of analysis, and processes of decision making; general trends and typology of tourism. Components of tourism management, impacts/implications, planning and strategy formulation.
