By the end of the course, the teacher trainee should be able:
- a) explain the main concepts of ICTat a general level.
- b) explain the different parts of a computer.
- c) demonstrate competence in running and managing a personal computer.
- d) demonstrate the ability to use a word processing application to create everyday letters and
- documents.
- e) understand the concept of spreadsheets and demonstrate the ability to use a spreadsheet
- application to produce accurate work outputs.
- f) understand the concept of a database and demonstrate the competence in using a database.
- g) demonstrate competence in using presentation software.
- h) demonstrate knowledge about the internet and use a web browsing application.
- i) understand some concept of e-mail and know about other communication options.
- j) obtain mastery of the keyboard by demonstrating correct fingering, proper technique, accuracy
- and speed.
