1.0 Course Description
This course focuses on building attitudes and behavior within individuals, organizations and communities as a way of enhancing development. It also centered on Creativity and innovation as a prerequisite for survival in today’s fast changing environment.
1.1 Course Objectives
The course seeks to enable learners to:
Gain a critical understanding of the role of entrepreneurial and innovative business activities and their management
Build entrepreneurial attitudes and behavior among learners
Expose learners to the entrepreneurship process including the aspects of creativity and
innovation
Equip students with skills of creative thinking
Understand basic management functions and how they are carried out
Facilitate the understanding and appreciation of managing people in the contemporarily
business environment.

By the end of this course, the learner is expected to:
Explain the role of entrepreneurial activity in enhancing development
Compare and contrast the benefits of being job creators to the benefits of being job
seekers
Evaluate situations with fresh business ideas
Draft a business plan

Lectures, Class discussions, student presentations and case studies.

Continuous assessment through tests, discussion groups, library research and will comprise:
Individual assignments 30%
Group Assignment 10%
Final examinations 60%
